Annie’s Loop Hike: I went by myself after I alerted my daughter where I was going, just in case, because there are exposed areas on the Blue Ridge. Because of the recent fires, The Homestead Trail was closed at the old homestead for restoration. But Annie’s Loop was my destination, and, fortunately, I was able to get there via the fully-open Blue Ridge Trail. Once on Annie’s Loop I was able to look back at the Blue Ridge. It poked majestically above the fog and gave me a quite-rare picture of the valley fog below me. Great day in mountains.
