Another wonderful day of driving through the countryside. This time it was in Australia. The landscape is very much northern California, with the exception of the slightly higher hills that they have here. I loved it until I got to the really windy roads that went through Kosciuszko National Park.
Mt. Kosciuszko is located in an Australian mountain range called the Snowy Mountains, or “Snowies” by the locals. Kosciuszko is the highest peak on the Australian mainland.
Finally, just before dark, I arrived at Jeff and Jeannie Becker’s. They were exceptionally welcoming and had a wonderful room for me in their wonderful home. It is by far the best bed-and-breakfast I have ever stayed in. Jeff was also my guide for the climb of Mt. Kosciuszko.
