The drive from the Hermitage Hotel at Mt. Cook to Queenstown reminded me of driving the curvy coastal roads in Northern California. The reward was that it got more beautiful the closer I got to Queenstown. The rolling hills and pastures turned into snow-capped peaks and deep gorges. It is absolutely beautiful. And I am getting more comfortable with driving on the “wrong” side of the road. Even the right turns are not freaking me out anymore. Tomorrow is an early wake up call, 0530, for my trip to Milford Sound.
