It turned out to be a lot easier meeting up with my daughter Shelly at the Narita Airport than we initially thought. Shelly arrived first and had time to get to my gate and was there waiting as I came out of customs. What a relief when we saw each other!
Then it was a 45-minute taxi ride to the Keio Plaza Hotel in the Shinjuku district in downtown Tokyo. I wish I got paid as much per minute as I paid our cab driver. Wow. But the trip was worth it. We were together in Japan at a great hotel ready for our adventure.
